Biggest Loser~ Getting on the Ban Wagon

Madison and I watched the Biggest Loser tonight, we have watched the other seasons together too. I recorded the second hour so we could watch it together on Thursday night or tomorrow after school. I'm excited for this season because I know that I can now begin my own weight loss journey. I'm no longer pregnant so I can lose weight. I'm nursing so I will have to make sure that I'm still eating enough and don't over do it. While I was still pregnant I ran some numbers. If I lose ONLY a pound for the next year I will be at the exact weight I was when I met Paul, which wasn't super skinny but I felt good at that weight. I would be twenty pounds over my ideal weight, the hight side of the ideal weight. My ideal weight according to Weight Watchers is 117 to 146 pounds. Quit honestly I think I might look sick if I weighed 117 pounds, but who knows. If I lost one and a half pounds over the next year I would reach my goal weight according to me and also be in my ideal weight range.

Now the qestion comes....... how will I achieve this goal? Since I am not even three weeks postpartum I don't want to over due it so WALKING! I'm going to start out by just walking Madison to school. Walking her to school is about a mile and a half. I'm also going to do Weight Watchers online. I will add to the workouts a little at a time, working up tothree or four mile walks. I will also throw in some workouts on the ellipitical trainer and strenght trainning. I will test this out and make adjustments as needed. Here I go..... at this time next I will be at my goal!

Belly Pics

I'm 34 weeks and 2 days, here's a look at the belly.

Tomorrow will be my 34 weeks appointment. I'm looking forward to seeing how Delana is doing. I'm not looking forward to getting weighed because I'm pretty sure I gained about five pounds since my last appointment which I guess isn't too bad since it was four weeks ago. I will post what I find out tomorrow.

Beautiful Park in Coronado

I love that ocean breeze but I don't particularly like the sand. Yesterday we went to a park in Coronado and hung out for a few hours. I got Paul ladder ball for his anniversary present so we played that for awhile and Maddie playing on the playground.

After hanging out at the park we went to Cozymel's Mexican Grill. Yummy! It was so good. I had a tamale and chicken soft taco, the taco was so good. Anyhow we are planning to go there again. We did some shopping and found Maddie a new dresser for a good deal so we can move her dressers into the nursery. It feels good getting ready for the baby and just getting stuff accomplished in general. I haven't done much around the house since I have been so tired all the time. I actually cleaned a lot of the house today which is nice still I'm not staring at the huge mess anymore. Well back to cleaning!

The Two Tone Hair is Gone

Finally my two toned hair is gone! I had my hair dyed blonde in November and it had grown out quiet a bit. It was looking horrible with black roots and blonde ends BUT it's gone. I told the stylist to do whatever but it had to be darker, closer to my natural shade. So she used a color that is about the same as my natural color and highlights in the shade I had before. I said trim it up and she cut it the way I had it in November! I was thinking I was going to let it grown out so I could put it in a pony tail when I had the baby but it actually it pretty easy to do when it's this short.

Do you need an excuse for school?

I had an appointment today at the orthodontist, my teeth are looking great! I was thinking the wire they were putting on today was the last wire that would be stretching them. It's not, one more after this one. I'm so excited, it can't wait until the gaps close. As you can see in the first picture here there are some big gaps, at least in my opinion. The best part of the day was when I went to book my next appointment and got a new receptionist, she asked me "do you need a excuse for school?" I was thinking yes, that means I look young, right? Twelve weeks until my next appointment.

Hair: Before and After

I had my hair cut about a week and a half ago. I asked about getting it colored too but they didn't do hair color first thing in the morning. So I had to make an appointment to have it colored. I got it done today and I love it but I will take some time to be completely used to.

Weight Loss Update

Hi! I thought I would leave a update on my weight loss. Friday's are my weigh-in days, I weighed in this morning. So far I'm down a told of 25 pounds, that's over a three month period. I have just under three months to go. I'm planning on surprising my husband when her get home. He knows how much I have lost but still it will be exciting looking so much better. Not to mention that I feel so much better. I have been working out at the gym a few days a week. I workout with a trainer once a week, which helps me know what I should be doing. But there is still the major step of actually doing what I'm told. I thought I was doing a good job until I realized that for two weeks (I think) I have only done two to three cardio sessions. YIKES!! So I was thinking to mysefl, "Girl, you have to kick it up a few notches and get going. The countdown is on and you need to move it. So get going!" That is exactly what I did. I got up this morning, brought Maddie to school and walked 3.41 miles. That's what I'm talking about. Kick it up and keep it that way until I reach my goal. Five pounds to 10%. I'm almost there and I will be setting new mini goals. I'm going to keep going strong.

Blog Update

Hello. I see that my last entry actually posted. I have been having a hard time getting my entries to post using my computer. I seen that there was a comment on the last one, HELLO. It didn't show up on my computer so the last one my computer shows is Madison's first day of school. Since I know it works on a different computer i might add some new entries and back date them.
We are all doing good. Madison will be starting her third week of school and she says she doesn't like it but then she will talk about the stuff she enjoys doing in class. Madison is very excited about getting homework. In fact she was mad because she didn't get homework the first week of school. Her teachers are awesome, I really like them. I will be helping in her class as soon a I get a TB test. Great! No one said anything about a shot before I volunteered to help in the class. Anyhow I'm being a baby, I know it's not that bad. I look forward to working in her class and seeing what she does everyday. I think that I will volunteer one day a week for right now and possible more later. I also started working out at the gym last week. I want to get there four or five times a week. I'm proud of myself for finally getting busy and changing. I know I need to get to getting healthy and add exercise to my life. I have lost sixteen pounds so far. Woo whoo! I'm find to keep busy by doing thing that are good for me and are enjoyable. Surprisingly I actually find working out enjoyable!

Thank You Lord

Over the past five weeks I have seen my life changing. As I began to read the Bible and to really search my heart and also seach God out. I have notice that I'm more at peace. I haven't worried as much about things that would totally freak me out before. God sees what I need and has provided it for me. I need a babysitter and I think, who can I ask for help. There is someone waiting the to help me. In my struggle to lose weight. I have prayed for help and support. I am getting it. I'm seeing results in many different areas. I know that God cares about me and my family, he is here with us. Walking with me and helping me through. I know that a lot of it is my christian family. They have been there for me and I thank God for bringing us here. Being here (California) was not part of MY plan but GOD'S plans are best. He can see how it will all work out and I can not. Thank for leading me to the right people and places.

"Therefore I say to you,
whatever things you ask when you pray,
BELIEVE that you receive them,
and you will have them.
Mark 11:24

I'M GETTING BRACES

I had an orthodontist consultation appointment this morning. I talked with the orthodontist and he recommended a few different braces that would be good for me. I really don't want to be able to see the braces so I was thinking of Invisalign braces but was told that they wouldn't be the best for me. However, they have a new line called I Braces (Invisible Braces, http://www.lingualcare.com/). They cost more but they are worth it to me since I won't be able to see the braces. I am so excited! I had my impressions yesterday and they have to do a little work on then and they will be sent to Germany to make my braces. I don't have a date for them to be put on yet since they have to be sent to be made. They are going to call me when they come in. I will have to post pictures when I get them. The picture below is the braces I am getting. Soon I will have straight teeth and a great SMILE. The only down side was that our insurance doesn't pay for any of it since I am over twenty three. I think that it is a great investment and look forward to seeing the results.

Trimming the Tree

This is what the palm tree looked like when we moved in back in October. The property manager mentioned about having it cut back but it offered privacy from the neighbors so we said it was fine the way it was, so we didn't have it cut back. After some thought I decided we should see if we could have him get someone to come out and cut it back, it looks bad and in very loud when the wind is blowing. Paul said he could do it himself. He got the saw, ladder and went to work. Now we have a very nice looking palm tree in the backyard.

How long is the palm branch you might ask? Well as you can see Madison is laying next to one of the branches in the picture below. The last time she was measured she was 42 inches which is about 3ft 6 inches. You might wonder why Madison is laying so funny next to the branch, oh that's because she is afraid that she is going to be cut by the teeth on the branch. Yes they have large teeth. Take a look at the next pictute.
Here is a picture of my finger next to the palm branch teeth. They are long and sharp, if fact one branch fell and cut a pretty good size hole is Paul's pants, blue jeans.
Since we ran out of fire wood and the house was chilly, Paul made a fire with the branch part of the palms. We were all laying on the floor watching Daddy Daycare and Madison said "mom go get your camera and take a picture of us all laying on the floor by the fire," so I went and got the camera and took a picture.

Christmas Packages

The first package to arrive was from Grandma Harriet and Chuck. Madison was so excited, mommy too. I opened the box, then I thought that we should take pictures of us opening the gifts. I had Paul run up stairs to get the card and Madison was waiting patiently. I now had the camera, hold on a second Maddie I need to get a picture first. Then we opened the presents.

It's Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. His nose lights up, cool!

.
I love Rudolph!!

Madison's gifts from Papa and Lorita. As she seen the pony she said
"How did Papa know I always wanted this pony!"
